Arci Muñoz opens up about open relationships

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Arci Muñoz cried during a recent interview with TV host Boy Abunda, admitting that she and non-showbiz boyfriend Anthony Ng called it quits.

During Abunda’s late night show “Tonight With Boy Abunda,” the host asked Arci if the rumors of the breakup were true, and she answered that she needed a sad background music to answer the question.

While singing I Belong To The Zoo’s “Sana,” she broke down and covered her face with her hands.

"I always keep this private life private. I want to keep it that way. Thank you po," Arci said.

Before her guesting in the show, the actress-rock star admitted that she and Anthony decided to split. She said this during the recent press conference of her upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye “Pamilya Ko.”

But she clarified that there was no third party involved and the decision was mutual.

"No, no, nothing like that po. It's shallow. It's just really...  Maybe it's not the right time," the actress shared. 

Arci was a guest in “Tonight With Boy Abunda” to promote her upcoming movie with JC Santos, “Open,” a Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino entry about a couple who entered an open relationship.

During the press conference of the movie, Arci said she has no plans of trying an open relationship.

“Gusto ko long-term. Committed talaga ‘ko, so wala akong balak. Para po kasi sa akin it's cheating with consent,” she stressed.
