Alden Richards mum on AlDub movie; to pair with beauty queen in new series
MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actor Alden Richards did not want to entertain questions about AlDub, his love team with Maine Mendoza.
Likewise, the "Hello, Love, Goodbye" star did not want to talk about AlDub fans' clamor for a new movie with Maine.
During recent interviews with Philstar.com, Alden's handlers from GMA forbade the press from asking the actor about Maine and their fans' request for a movie.
Recently, the hashtags #YestoAlDubMovie and #NotoAlDubMovie became hot trending topics on Twitter as fans of the love team have been wishing for a new movie from the two following Alden's successful team up with Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo in "Hello, Love, Goodbye."
Early this month, Maine assured in a press conference that their AlDub love team is still active.

Meanwhile, Miss Eco International 2017 Thia Thomalla will be Alden's new leading lady in his upcoming teleserye “The Gift.”
Thia confirmed speculations after she shared on her Facebook account a post from One Heart Kapuso Facebook page saying that she is the new leading lady of Alden.
“Thia Thomalla is Alden Richards’ new leading lady in his new soap, ‘The Gift.’ Her full name is Cynthia Thomalia, but she will be using the shorter screen name, Thia. She won in the Miss World Philippines pageant as our country’s representative to the Miss Eco International 2017 in Cairo, Egypt in April 2017 and won the title, the first Filipina ever to win the crown,” the Facebook page wrote.
Fresh from the blockbuster success of his first movie with Star Cinema, Alden is now busy shooting his upcoming Kapuso series that is set to air next month.
“The Gift” is a story of Joseph (Alden) who is able to tell the future and look back into the past after he becomes blind. He uses this ability to help his community in times of need.
Part of the cast includes Jean Garcia, Jo Berry, Mikee Quintos, Betong Sumaya, Christian Vasquez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Rochelle Pangilinan, Martin del Rosario, Mikoy Morales and Ysabel Ortega.
Apart from Alden, Thia said in her past interviews that she also wanted to work with Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes, Solenn Heussaff and Lovi Poe.
