How Mylene & Kit close the 23-year gap with sexy scenes

Set to premiere today in the 2019 Cinemalaya is Quantum Films’ Belle Douleur (Beautiful Pain) starring Mylene Dizon and Kit Thompson in a May-December affair about a 45-year-old clinical psychologist and a 26-year-old antique dealer.

In real life, the age-gap between Mylene and Kit is 23. She’s 45, single mom of two children (by ex-boyfriend Paolo Paraiso) and currently in a relationship with Jason Webb. Kit is 22, half-Filipino/half-New Zealander, who was introduced in the PBB (Pinoy Big Brother) Teen Edition 4 and, after his first acting stint in the Kapamilya series Kapag Puso’y Sinugatan, retreated to Los Angeles where he became a model. He came back a full-grown man. Oozing with sex appeal. After an indie and now in the cast of the Kapamilya series Sino Ang Maysala? (Mea Culpa), Kit gets his biggest break in Belle Douleur which marks the directorial debut of Quantum producer Joji Alonso (whose short film Last Order was screened in Cannes).

Belle Douleur is admittedly a film packed full with sexy scenes. Joji said that she was careful in executing the passionate love scenes between Mylene and Kit and one of the challenges was how to cover the private part of the naked Kit.

“There were several volunteers, most of them gay men,” revealed Joji, “but I chose a gay female to do the delicate job. No malice there.”

As a nod to the movie’s theme, Funfare decided to do a “sexy talk” with Mylene and Kit.  

What is sexy to you?

Mylene: Sense of humor is sexy. (True enough, when asked if she has hit the “cougar stage,” the 45-year-old mother of two joked, “Not yet a cougar, puma pa lang…Pumapatol! Hahaha!!!)

Kit: I think it’s the appeal. I just know it when I see a woman.

When do you feel sexy?

Mylene: In the morning. I love the fresh feeling upon waking up.

Kit: Morning also…when I am not bloated.

What part of your body do you consider sexy?

Mylene: People say it’s my eyes but I think it’s my shoulders because they look strong…they are strong.

Kit: My arms, the dominant parts of my body.

What part of a man’s/woman’s body do you find sexy?

Mylene: The shoulders. Strong shoulders frame the whole body.

Kit: The legs.

(Only to Kit) When did you lose your innocence?

Kit: It was probably nine years ago. I must have been 13 then.

To a younger woman, older woman, or a girl your age?

Kit: To an older woman.

Sexiest book?

Mylene: Lately, the books I’ve been reading are not sexy at all. The one I’m reading is The Boy in Striped Pajamas by John Boyne which is about the holocaust. It’s not sexy at all. I don’t think I’ve read a lot of sexy books aside from Fifty Shades of Grey.

Kit: I don’t think I’ve ever read any sexy book.

Sexiest movie?

Mylene: Meet Joe Black.

Kit: In The Mood For Love directed by Wong Kar-Wai. The stars don’t do anything, except look at each other and I find that very sexy.

Do you watch porno films?

Mylene: Not the entire film, just a portion of it.

Kit: Sometimes, but after the first five minutes, I’m done.

Sexiest musical instrument?

Mylene: Bass guitar. It has its own beat and a deep tone. When I see a bass guitarist player, I am so amazed. (Trivia: Her ex-boyfriend played the lead guitar in a band.)

Kit: The piano.

Sexiest song?

Mylene: All of Maxwell’s songs. They make me want to walk slow…when I hear a Maxwell song, iba ang galaw ko bigla.

Kit: Nothing specific. Maybe something mellow, without lyrics, something that can put me in the mood.

Sexiest TV show?

Mylene: None that I can think of.

Kit: There are sexy scenes in my Kapamilya show (Sino ang Maysala? Mea Culpa) but the theme is not sexy at all.

Sexiest food?

Mylene: Chocolates.

Kit: Strawberries.

Sexiest car?

Mylene: Truck.

Kit: A 1967 fast-back Mustang.

Sexiest perfume?

Mylene: I don’t like perfume. It makes me dizzy.

Kit: Tom Ford Black Orchid.

Mylene: Morning…early, early morning.

Mylene: The bathroom. It’s a nice place to admire things.

Mylene: Our love scenes in Belle Douleur…three love scenes in one long take.

Kit: Our scenes in this movie.

Mylene: Bought myself a lingerie because I don’t usually do that. Why did I do it? For fun! I didn’t like it. Makati (itchy).

Kit: Staying healthy, keeping my body fit. I think that’s sexy.

Sexiest clothes?

Mylene: I don’t wear sexy clothes anymore, only my T-shirt and my tsinelas.

Kit: Probably when I’m not wearing any clothes, hahaha!!!

(Only to Kit) Do you sleep in the nude?

Kit: Yes.

Kit: Preferably with somebody.

Kit: Dimmed.

Mylene: So many that I can’t pick just one. Wait, si Piolo Pascual pala! Sarap tingnan ng face niya, especially now that he has matured.

Kit: Gigi Hadid.

Three men/women that you find sexy?

Mylene: Ang dami din. I can’t name only three.

Kit: Bela Hadid. Mylene is sexy, too. Of course, my girlfriend Lea. (“Just Lea,” he stressed, without mentioning the surname.)
