MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya celebrities Maja Salvador, Geoff Eigenmann, Janella Salvador and the rest of “The Killer Bride” cast applauded Joshua Garcia’s answer to the question on how is he after the recent controversies surrounding former girlfriend Julia Barretto.

In the press conference of the upcoming ABS-CBN primetime series, Joshua said he is fine and happy nowadays.

“Ako ay okay na okay lang po. Masaya na po kasi ako ngayon e. Kumbaga, haharapin ko po siguro 'yung araw na passionate ako sa trabaho. Puro trabaho naman talaga recently eh. So 'yung isip ko nasa trabaho,” Joshua said.

His statement came after his first media appearance since the rumored romance between his ex-girlfriend and Gerald Anderson, Bea Alonzo’s boyfriend. Nonetheless, Joshua left early after the press conference and evaded press interviews.

Julia recently posted on her Instagram story a text from Joshua, saying: “This guy knows how to find humor in everything.”

“Malalampasan mo yan. I know you, you’re the strongest girl na nakilala ko. Takot nga ako sayo eh,” Joshua told Julia in the text message.

It can be recalled that Julia and Joshua broke up recently after Julia and Gerald’s movie “Between Maybes.” It was unclear, however, why they decided to split, but  they said in prior press interviews that they are in a good relationship as best friends.

Joshua will still star opposite Julia in the upcoming horror movie "Block Z." He will be pairing with Janella in the upcoming series “The Killer Bride.”
