In a recent interview with Philstar.com, the contenders of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant had a chance to inform local and national politicians on the issues they wish to be addressed in the places they represent.
Here is the first batch of beauties and the issues in their localities they wish their politicians would look into:
Miss Pangasinan: sexual harassment
Palawan: Dividing Palawan into three and environmental protection
Iloilo City: Delivery of basic services to the poor
Quezon City: A world-class QC
Caloocan: More schools for kids with special needs
Puerto Princesa: Continuous improvement in water and electricity supply
Marikina: Improved waste management system
Ilocos Sur: Better education and literacy
Isabela: Subsidize use of water filters for more access to clean water
Cavite: Improved transportation
Negros Occidental: Protect farmers
Pampanga: Lessen heavy traffic especially in Clark
La Union: Garbage management
Zamboanga: Holistic education for kids
Daraga, Albay: Development in sustainable energy and decongest Manila
Masbate: Bigger budget for education
Cebu: Improved housing and address children’s basic needs
