Tyra Banks interviews Catriona Gray, still ‘fangirling’ with lava walk
MANILA, Philippines — Supermodel Tyra Banks has interviewed Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray for the latest issue of international fashion magazine V.
According to the article published online, the two ladies could not hide their excitement as they spoke to each other via video chat.
The interview started with Tyra telling Catriona that she is still “recovering” from the Lava Walk of the beauty queen. Tyra then asked Catriona: “What’s you’re secret? I was totally fangirling! Where were you when you saw that I had tweeted at you?”
“Oh my gosh, Tyra... I was sitting at dinner with all the girls. We were tired, quietly eating after rehearsal, when I got all these notifications from what you’d tweeted. I turned to my two friends, Sweden and Denmark, and started freaking out, like, ‘Oh my gosh, Tyra Banks just tweeted about my walk!’” Catriona told Tyra.
Tyra also said that she thought Catriona already won the pageant after the walk, to which Catriona replied: “And I freaked out when you tweeted me! You writing ‘Pinoy Power’ was a proud moment for me and all Filipinos.”
During the interview, Tyra asked Catriona about her scoliosis, but the beauty queen assured it has not really hindered her at all, except after a long day in heels. Tyra then replied, “Flawsome, which means your flaws are awesome.”
