MANILA, Philippines — Korean pop star Sandara Park is one with 2NE1 fans in hoping that her former group will reunite soon.
Speaking with reporters during the recent press conference of her new variety show “Stage K,” Sandara said she heard that there are many challengers who sang 2NE1 songs during the audition.
“I heard that there were many challengers who auditioned with 2NE1 songs. When I heard that, I thought, ‘Will 2NE1 be able to reunite after a long time?,’ which is my personal hope,” Korean website Soompi quoted Sandara as saying.
According to the report, “Stage K” is a K-pop challenge variety show about people around the world competing for a chance to be on the same stage with their K-pop stars for the performance of their dreams.
“I think it’s the stage of the dreams of not just ‘Stage K’ challengers, but also for K-pop singers as well. When I explained the program to juniors, they all said that they also wanted to appear on the show. I thought about how moving it would be to watch fans doing a cover of my song or dance. I’m also personally looking forward to the filming day,” Sandara said.
Joining Sandara in the show as “K Leaders” are g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung, Sechskies' Eun Ji Won, and Wonder Girls' Yubin. The show is hosted by MC Jun Hyun Moo with the first episode airing on April 7.
