MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray confessed that she is the reason why the Mikimoto crown is broken.

The beauty queen from Bicol confessed in a video posted in Miss Universe's official Twitter account that the crown is broken because of her dancing.

“The moment you've all been waiting for: The Story Behind The Broken Crown,” the Miss Universe account captioned the video.

“So one of the things I love about the parade is that they have this moving band and they have the drums that makes me want to dance, so I end up dancing although I am not a very good dancer,” Catriona said.

“But I have a confession. The Mikimoto has seen better days as a result of my dancing. I'm so sorry,” she said while holding the broken piece of the crown.

Social media users were quick to notice that there is something wrong with Catriona’s crown when she had her homecoming parade in Araneta Center and her trip in Indonesia.

Reports said that the crown has 500 diamonds of almost 30 carats (6.0 g), 120 South Sea and Akoya pearls, ranging in size from 3 to 18 mm diameter and is valued at $250,000 or an estimated P13 million.

The Miss Universe Organization, however, assured the Filipino-Australian queen that her crown will be fixed in no time.
