Marvin-Jolina reunion movie in the works

MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Jolina Magdangal and Kapuso actor Marvin Agustin are set to make their much-awaited reunion movie. 

Blockbuster director Antoinette Jadaone posted on her Instagram story a photo of her with Marvin, Jolina, director Dan Villegas, actress Bibeth Orteza and Project 8 Corner San Joaquin producer Reign Anne de Guzman. 

“Look ma, it’s Bujoy and Ned! We missed you @juanmiguelsevero! #buhaypelikula x @proj8corsanjoaquin,” Antoinette wrote. 

In an exclusive interview with Philstar.com, actor and screenwriter Juan Miguel Severo said he was tagged by Antoinette because she knows he is a fan of the iconic ‘90s love team. He also admitted that he will write the screenplay of the movie.

“Tinag ako ni Direk Tonet kasi alam niyang sobrang fan ako ng Marvin-Jolina. At saka dapat nandoon ako sa meeting na 'yon e. Kaso out of town ako,” Juan Miguel said, adding: “Yes, ako ang magsusulat and it’s a dream come true.”

He assured that the “kilig” factor in Marvin-Jolina movies will surely be a part of the upcoming film, only that the story, this time, will be more matured. 

“I don't think posibleng mag-exist ang Marvin at Jolina love team sa isang pelikula nang walang kilig. Pero it has been years since they last worked together and they both have matured as actors and people and they definitely deserve a more mature story to tell,” Juan Miguel said. 

Marvin and Jolina starred in blockbuster movies such as “Labs Kita Okey Ka Lang,” “Gimik The Reunion,” “Flames: The Movie,” “Hey Babe” and “Kung Ayaw Mo Huwag Mo.”
