Claudine Barretto to Chokoleit: Hug Direk Wenn, Rico Yan for me
MANILA, Philippines — Actress Claudine Barretto mourns the passing of her friend Chokoleit and asked him to hug director Wenn Deramas and ex-boyfriend Rico Yan for her.
In her Instagram account, Claudine reminisced her good times with the late comedian by posting videos of her with Chokoleit and comedienne Cheena.
“Mamimiss ko to! Paki hug si Direk Wenn at Rico para sakin. Thank u Choko isa kang LOYAL na kaibigan.mahal na mahal kita at d kita makakalimutan kahit kailan,” Claudine wrote.
In another post, Claudine described Chokoleit as her protector and a true friend: “I cannot put into words the pain that n feeling Choko! Nawalan nanaman ako ng tagapagtanggol at mabuting kaibigan.i luv u sobra.”
Claudine and Chokoleit were co-stars in the hit 2004 fantaserye “Marina,” in which Claudine played the title role, while Chokoleit played the character of Pearly Shell, right hand of the show’s antagonist, Dugong, played by Malou de Guzman. Deramas was the show's director who died in 2016 due to cardiac arrest.
Chokoleit, Jonathan Aguilar Garcia in real life, passed away at the age of 46 due to heart attack after his performance in Abra.
