Filipina designer places second at Britain event

MANILA, Philippines — Fresh from her appearance in the movie Ang Sikreto ng Piso (which she herself produced), Joyce Pilarsky (photo, left, with her finale model) placed first runner-up at the 7th Britain’s Top Designer during the recent London Fashion Week held at the Congress Centre, Great Russell Street.

Hosted by Fashions First, the search focused on the different talented designers from around the world. Joyce’s Balangiga Bells-inspired creations drew applause from the viewers.
