MANILA, Philippines — Ahead of the Super Bowl opening on Monday, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray on Sunday attended the eighth National Football League Honors in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Filipina-Australian beauty queen said it was her first red carpet for this year. She attended the NFL Honors with her former rival and now roommate Miss USA Sarah Rose Summers.
Gray wore a full-length black gown designed by Tadashi Shoji while she was accentuated with jewelry from Vajze and carried a clutch by Judith Leiber.
She was styled by Marquis Bias and dolled up by make-up artist and vlogger Madi Bernard for her red carpet look.
“Finally kicking off the first red carpet of 2019,” Gray said in one of her Instagram stories.
The 25-year-old beauty queen said she was excited to attend the NFL Honors because it is her first time to attend an American sports event.
She shared that she is not knowledgeable about American football but she and Summers had a discussion on the teams and the sport.
“Had an amazing time at my first red carpet event of 2019 learning about American football for the first time,” Gray said.
NFL Honors is the annual awards presentation in the NFL. It is held on the eve of the Super Bowl.
The annual awards show recognizes the NFL’s best players, performance and plays from the current season.
