Catriona Gray's boyfriend Clint Bondad reveals why he left 'ASAP'
MANILA, Philippines — TV host and entrepreneur Clint Bondad revealed that he left the Sunday variety show "ASAP" last year where he performed as part of the all-male group Coverboys because he chose to focus on his businesses.
In a lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, the model, who is also Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's boyfriend, shared before and after photos of himself from a year ago.
The post showed the difference in his physique from when he was still a member of the group to three weeks after he left the Kapamilya show. "I looked like a shipwreck survivor," Clint wrote in the caption.
He went on to explain that during that time, he was dealing with the nitty-gritty of managing two startups, working for about 20 hours a day.
He listed the handful of tasks he had to do, including hiring and training employees, raising funds and negotiating with clients.
At some point, he encountered corrupt government officials and was also involved in a car crash.
He did everything because "NOBODY will work as hard as yourself," he said. In between it all, he was also modelling, working in "ASAP" three to four days a week and was maintaining a daily workout regimen.
"Drive can be unchecked sometimes and my body was falling apart," Clint wrote. In the end, he said, "I simply chose my business over ASAP."
Nonetheless, Clint said he "loved" the experience. "We grow from struggle and we can get more AGGRESSIVE when faced by it! Gets me excited!" he added.
Clint was a member of the Coverboys together with Albie Casino, Tommy Esguerra, Luis Hontiveros and Tanner Mata.
