In Photos: Shay Mitchell enjoys El Nido
MANILA, Philippines — Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell did not miss the chance to visit one of the world’s best islands, El Nido, while she was in the Philippines.
“Couldn’t go [to] the Philippines without visiting the islands, so I did,” Shay said in an Instagram post.
Last week, Shay, visited the country to promote her Netflix original series “You” with co-star Penn Badgley. She plays the role Peach Salinger in the psychological thriller series based on the novel of the same name by Caroline Kepnes.
The “You” stars met with their Filipino fans in Makati City and also granted interviews from the press.
Shay also visited a child-caring institution and mingled with street children under the care of Virlanie Foundation. She was with her friend American-born composer, writer, producer and classical pianist, Chloe Won, popularly known as, Chloe Flower.
After her work engagements, Shay and Chloe then flew to El Nido for vacation. They went to Lagen and Pangulasian Islands.
Shay flaunted photos of the white sandy beach of El Nido, its islands and the beautiful sunset to her millions of followers on Instagram. She called El Nido a "paradise."
The actress with Filipino blood left the island this week. She thanked her friend Chloe “for being an amazing travel partner.”
Shay also described her trip as “amazing.” She is now in Los Angeles, California.
In 2013, Shay also visited El Nido with her family.
