That’s what happens when you’re at the top. They like to desperately tear you down. Sad but true.

“That’s what happens when you’re at the top. They like to desperately tear you down. Sad but true,” she answered after someone commented about photos being shared online saying Tony was with his alleged boyfriend during the incident at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Tony is allegedly in a relationship with fellow Kapamilya actor Alex Diaz, who was with him at NAIA Terminal 1 when the confrontation between the “Glorious” star and immigration officers broke out. After the incident, Diaz also defended his friend on Twitter.
I was also at immigration & saw the whole thing go down. So trust me when I say kudos to you homie for rising above it. @tonythesharky wasn’t the only one at fault but he was made to look like the bad guy when both sides had faults. Everyone is human and capable of mistakes even Tony who got heated and these IO’s who claimed not to know who he was at all but proceeded to blast him on social media right off the bat. Sana we hunt for both sides always before passing judgement, slandering or defaming people.

Filmmaker and talent manager Chris Cahilig posted a screenshot of his conversation with Tony about the issue.
“Just because we’re in the same flight we’re together na? That’s so low. Why can’t people see the truth that we’re just friends and his tita even made sure we got the same flight para may kasama kami pauwi,” Tony said in the exchange with the filmmaker.
Talking to Tony Labrusca about the rumors on him that are circulating on social media. Napafrustrating how malicious netizens are. Norm na ang paniniwala sa chismis. #nakakainis #TonyLabrusca pic.twitter.com/o1iNMzTQvE

In a statement posted on Twitter, Tony apologized for what happened at the airport.
“It was very upsetting for me. And I’m sorry that I somehow took my frustrations out on the officer. But never did I call anyone stupid, nor an idiot, much less brag about being a celebrity,” he said.
“I know for a fact that the officer is merely doing her job. My biggest mistake perhaps was letting my emotions get the better of me and again I’m sorry,” he added.
