So far, so good.
Effective today, the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) reels off without the issues (complaints against lack of theaters, etc.) that muddled the previous annual events. Hopefully, but not certainly, no brouhaha will mar the Gabi ng Parangal scheduled a few days from now.
The Parade of Stars that ushered in the 10-day MMFF, maybe extended for several days, snaked around Parañaque City (a selected Metro Manila town or city is assigned to host the parade every year) with shrieking fans cheering the stars right on!
The big question is: will this year’s MMFF equal, if not exceed, last year’s PB-plus gross?
Well, it can — depending on how much and how well you, the moviegoing public, will support the eight official entries ranging from rom-com to thriller, to camp-comedy, action-comedy, a touching bromance story, a tragic story, etc.
Watch all the entries. Remember, tangkilikin ang sariling atin.
