LIST: What Catriona won at Miss Universe 2018
BANGKOK, Thailand— Newly crowned Miss Universe Catriona Gray will not only bring Philippines pride and honor, she will also receive perks and prizes from the Miss Universe Organization and its sponsors.
Gray, who succeeded Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, gets to take home the iconic phoenix crown designed by by the former official jeweler of Miss Universe, Mikimoto & Co., Ltd.
The legendary rising phoenix crown that bears over 100 pearls signifies power, status, and beauty.
The luxurious headpiece is estimated to cost around $250,000 or P12.5 million.
The Mikimoto crown only made a comeback to the pageant in 2017. It was used by Miss Universe organization from 2002 to 2007.
It was Miss Universe 2002 Oxana Fedaroba of Russia who had the opportunity to first wear the phoenix crown while Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori of Japan was the last crowned with it.
Apart from the crown, the MUO and earlier listed down the perks and prizes of the next Miss Universe. These include the following:

MUO said every winner relocates to New York City to meet her new Miss Universe family and focus on her chosen advocacy.
“Through the organization, the winner is provided a platform for possibility based on her objectives for the year. Alongside The Miss Universe Organization, she will plan how to achieve her goals on the national and global scale,” the MUO said.
