MANILA, Philippines— The Miss Universe Organization recently announced that three-time Grammy Award winner Ne-Yo will perform on the global stage of the universe’s most prestigious pageant.
On its social media page, Miss Universe said Ne-Yo will perform during the coronation night of Miss Universe on December 17.
The American singer, songwriter, dancer and record producer is known for his hits “Miss Independent,” “So Sick” “Sexy Love,” “Mad,” and “Good Man,” among others.
Apart from Ne-Yo, MUO also announced the return of five-time Emmy Award winner entertainer, host and comedian Steve Harvey as host of the coronation night.
Harvey, host of the "Steve Harvey Morning Show" radio program, and the popular TV shows "Family Feud," "Celebrity Family Feud," and "Little Big Shots," among others, made it to the headlines in 2015 after he mistakenly announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner of the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. Philippine bet Pia Wurtzbach was then hailed as the winner.
MUO also said model, entrepreneur and body activist Ashley Graham also returns as backstage host during the live telecast.
Also making a comeback are TV personality and style guru Carson Kressley, and supermodel and pageant expert Lu Sierra as analysts for the live telecast. They are expected to team up and provide analysis and commentary during the telecast.
This year’s Miss Universe will be hosted by Bangkok, Thailand.
The coronation night will be held in Impact Arena, Bangkok on December 17.
