The ‘glorious’ entry of Tony Labrusca

Sexy Talk with movietown’s newest sensation

The teaser of Glorious created quite a sensation, viewed by more than 15 million (so far), turning Tony Labrusca into movietown’s newest sex symbol, touted to be the “new” Derek Ramsay. Not bad for a boy who grew up (with his mom, former Kulay band member and 2018 Century Tuna Superbod Ageless winner Angel Jones) in Canada and started as a contestant in the ABS-CBN talent search BoyBand PH.

After playing a gymnast in the Cinema One Originals entry Double Twisting Double Back and a dramatic turn in ML (with Eddie Garcia among his co-stars), Tony delivers a pleasantly shocking performance in Glorious, a May-December affair story directed by Connie Macatuno, in which Tony and Angel Aquino spice up their torrid love scenes with a “French-y” twist. (Glorious is now streaming on iWantTV, ABS-CBN’s new digital platform).

It’s understandable why Tony is on glorious mode these days as shown in this “sexy talk.”

How do you feel about the tremendous reaction to Glorious?

“I feel really overwhelmed but at the same time I’m super happy that for the most part everybody just had such positive reaction towards it and I really appreciate everybody’s support and everybody just being super open-minded so I really, I love it.”

How did you prepare for the kissing scenes with Angel?

“Honestly, I did have to mentally prepare for it. You know, I’ve never done any sexy scenes before so I just paid attention to my director and tried to do what she wanted me to do. And, I mean, I think I got it right. Okay, I don’t know how I learned how to kiss that way. It’s not that I really practiced. I don’t even know from a good kisser so I don’t know, I just did what I thought would be right.”

Have you ever kissed a woman that way?

“Well, yes. I’ve kissed Angel that way many, many times.”

Describe your character.

“I have expressed in like my previous interviews that there was an older woman that fell in love with me that I didn’t reciprocate those feelings towards her. But yeah, usually I find that older women do tend to be more attracted to me and yeah, I find myself similar to Nico, my character, in terms of that. I think he has endearing boyish qualities about him. He’s a playful guy and I find that I could relate to that side of him but at the same time he’s also really hardworking and he knows what he wants.”

Are you going to do another film like Glorious?

“To be honest, I never expected I would do a movie like this in the first place. I think that just goes to show with you and your career, you never know where you gonna go. You never know where life is gonna take you. I could neither confirm nor deny if I’m ever going to do it again. I’m just trusting God and I’m staying in my lane and doing my best. Who knows?”

What is sexy to you?

“I find intelligence really sexy. And I think it’s sexy when you can have an amazing conversation with someone and I find that intelligence is really sexy because of the fact that when someone’s intelligent, you can really get a connection with them. If you don’t love somebody, I mean it’s gonna be hard to find them sexy so I feel like intelligence and understanding each other I feel like that’s what really sexy. But if you were to ask me physically-wise, I think what’s really sexy is…I don’t know…maybe like an hour-glass figure…or confidence actually. People who are confident I feel like that’s really sexy.”

When do you feel sexy?

“I feel sexy sometimes after the gym and have a really good pump. I feel like my body looks really good.”

What part of your body do you consider the sexiest?

“Hmmm…I don’t know…maybe my thighs. I think, yeah, I like my thighs.”

What part of a girl’s body do you find the sexiest?

“I think it’s that waist area where their hips are the smallest and then it kinda like leads towards their back. I think that’s pretty sexy.”

Sexiest movie you have ever seen?

“Hmmm, Glorious.”

Sexiest musical instrument?

“I don’t know maybe the saxophone, hahaha! I don’t know so much about instruments, honestly. Jokes aside, I would say…I don’t know, maybe the guitar. Guitar has a lot of really nice romantic songs.”

Sexiest food?

“Maybe pasta, especially when it’s spaghetti ‘coz you’re always sucking on it, hehehe!”

Sexiest song?
“For me, right now, it’s Chris Brown’s Hope You Do.”

“I think it’s…I don’t know…4 o’clock? Hehehe! I don’t know how to answer that question.”

Sexiest part of the house?

“Maybe the bathroom. That’s where magic happens.”

Sexiest thing you’ve ever done to yourself?

(Talking to his companion, his manager Mario Colmenares, inside the car) “Mario, how do I answer this?”

Sexiest sleepwear? Do you sleep in the nude?

“I just love wearing boxers, honestly. And I haven’t tried sleeping in the nude and it’s not really my thing.”

Sexiest fantasy?

“Well, I feel like a bunch of my sexy fantasies have already been fulfilled in Glorious so another sexy fantasy of mine would be… honestly I feel like what’s really sexy is for me to just travel with the person that I love the most and us, just doing whatever the hell we want. You know, not caring about what people think. It’s not the sexy that people would wanna hear like bondage or getting tied up or anything but I just imagine like me and my significant other just like at one beach and one country excited because the next week, we would be in another beach or some mountain or some other continent traveling together. I feel like you and your wife or your girlfriend or your boyfriend, you guys against the world. I feel like that’s just…that’s where it’s at.”
