TOKYO, Japan — Shortly after making her red carpet debut with boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli at the ABS-CBN Ball, Kapamilya singer-actress Sarah Geronimo is ready to represent the Philippines at the 2nd ASEAN-Japan Music Festival on October 4 at NHK Hall in Tokyo. 

In its Twitter account, Viva Artists posted photos of Sarah with other artists from Japan and the Southeast Asian region.

“Our very own @JustSarahG representing the Philippines with other ASEAN artists at SHIROKANEDAI MINATO-KU, TOKYO #PinoyPride,” the agency captioned. 

ASEAN and Japan will mark the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation this year. To enhance the special celebration, the partnership will hold a music festival.

Hosted by Japan's Hikaru Nishida and Pico Taro, other artists from Japan and ASEAN region who will perform in the festival are Japan’s w-inds, KANJANI, Natsuko Godai, JSB? Ryuji Imaichi, JSB? Hiroomi Tosaka, Ryotaro Sugi, Nogizaka46; Brunei’s Fakhrul Razi; Cambodia’s Preap Sovath; Indonesia’s Andien; Laos’ Alexandra Bounxouei; Malaysia’s Siti Nurhaliza; Myanmar’s Sai Sai Kham Leng; Singapore’s Taufik Batisah; Thailand’s Tachaphon Pholkongseng; and Vietnam’s Dong Nhi.

Sarah’s inclusion in the event first was announced last September, coming from the Facebook page of the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines. The Japanese embassy said they are proud that the award-winning singer will be representing the Philippines in the music festival.
