MANILA, Philippines — In time for their father Bong Revilla’s birthday, brothers Jolo, Luigi and Bryan remembered their father who has been detained in Camp Crame for four years now in connection with the pork barrel scam.
At the press conference of their new movie “Tres,” Jolo said they know that the freedom of the former senator is on its way.
“In due time, alam namin na malapit na ‘yon. Ayaw lang naming pangunahan ‘yung husgado, but we all know. Lumabas na ‘yung dapat lumabas at lumabas na ‘yung katotohanan. Prayers na lang din,” Jolo said.
The Revilla brothers star in the new trilogy movie “Tres” by Imus Productions. The movie aims to reintroduce the action genre to an entirely new generation of moviegoers.
For Bryan, he hoped that their father was included in the cast, but he also understands that this is not yet the proper time to be with him in a movie.
“Sana kasama namin siya ngayon. For the past few films na ginawa namin sa Imus Production, kasama namin lagi siya eh. The fact na hindi namin siya kasama, medyo iba ‘yung feeling. Four years na rin siya sa loob ng Camp Crame. Of course, malungkot, pero even though na kahit malungkot, we still have high spirits knowing the fact na one day things are gonna get better,” Bryan said.
Luigi was so thankful for their dad for giving them the opportunity to star in their own films.
“It’s been hard for us also. Pero even though nandoon siya sa loob, todo pa rin ang suporta sa amin since day one. Proud naman siya sa amin and never siya nagkulang sa amin. He’s been there to support us. We’re just really happy and blessed and he gave us opportunity to top-bill in our own movie,” Luigi said.
Jolo bared that Bong is still hands on in the movie, although he could not see it because mobile phones are not allowed in his cell.
“Mas maganda ‘tong pelikulang ‘to kung kasama namin si Bong Revilla. Kumbaga ginawa namin ‘to para sa kanya. And of course para makatulong din tayo sa industriya ng action. Wala kaming masasabi sa kanila dahil ultimo nga sa paggawa ng script halos every week pinapapunta niya ‘yung script writers pati mga director, ganon siya katutok,” Jolo said.
Besides the Revilla brothers, other celebrities included in the movie are Rhian Ramos, Myrtle Sarrosa, Assunta de Rossi, Albert Martinez, Dominic Roque, Tirso Cruz III, Benj Manalo, Philip Salvador, Carla Humphries, and Paolo Paraiso.
