MANILA, Philippines — Grammy Award winner Bone Thugs-N-Harmony turned back the clock as they performed their hits with a ‘90s ambiance at SM Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday night.

Standing the whole time while the American hip-hop group performed on stage, concertgoers bounced their way to sing the group’s hit songs such as “Resurrection,” “Thug Love,” and “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” to name a few.

But the night’s highlight was the group’s rendition of their hit song “Tha Crossroads,” a then tribute to their friend and American rapper Eazy-E, which won the group a Grammy Award in 1997. The group asked the audience to remember their dearly departed friend while singing the song.

Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone and Krayzie Bone impressed their Manila crowd on their second time in the country. Their fourth member, Layzie Bone, however, did not make it due to an undisclosed reason.

Apart from the group, which MTV called “the most melodic hip-hop group of all time,” Filipino rappers also stood out in the concert as front acts.

Blaze N Kane started the show with their fast-paced rap similar to Bone Thugs, while Shanti Dope represented the millennials as he sang his hits “Nadarang” and “Shanti Dope.”

Gloc-9 also performed his collaboration song “Norem” with rappers Abaddon, J Kris and Shanti Dope.
