MANILA, Philippines — Celebrities had mixed reactions after President Rodrigo Duterte signed Proclamation 572, revoking the amnesty given to Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV on his participation at the Manila Pen Siege and Oakwood Mutiny eight years ago.

A known Duterte supporter, Kapamilya actor Robin Padilla hosted a live broadcast on his Facebook account on Tuesday, challenging Trillanes to get out of the Senate and face the case.

“Lumabas ka! Wag kang magtago sa saya ng Senado!” Robin said.

Robin further said that Trillanes should submit himself and wait for the court’s decision.

“Hayaan mong korte ang magdesisyon. ‘Wag mong gawing malaking isyu to. Kayo senador, special ba kayo?”

At the end of the broadcast, Robin said Trillanes should go back to prison. While laugh, Robin said he will even send the senator a private massage.

“Ang dami nating problema. Mr. Trillanes, napakarami po nating problema. Simple lang naman ‘to. Kayang-kaya mo to i-solve.

Duterte gave Robin an absolute pardon in connection with his illegal possession of firearms case in 1994.

Talent manager and Kapamilya actor Ogie Diaz also shared his reaction on the issue, saying: “Ganun talaga, Sen. Trillanes.

The comedian hopes that the prices of commodities will now become lower and some issues surrounding the administration of Duterte will be solved, now that Trillanes’ amnesty has been revoked.

Meanwhile, singer-actress Agot Isidro posted her sympathy for the senator. She also commended his courage to face the issue.

“Walang neck brace, walang wheel chair, walang coma, walang fentanyl, walang absent, walang mumbling, walang mura. Humaharap na may tapang,” she said of Trillanes on Twitter.
