MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano got injured by co-actor Justin Cuyugan at the taping of the ABS-CBN teleserye “Bagani.”

During the recent thanksgiving press conference of “Bagani,” reporters noticed that Liza’s finger on her left hand was covered with bandage.

“I got injured in the middle of the fight scene. Kasi when we were doing the scene, I guess we were really feeling it and medyo nagmamadali din kasi kami dahil umuulan and we have to get the scene before it starts raining,” said Liza, who plays Ganda in the series.

“We were able to practice the scene before we took it. But in the middle of the scene, I guess the emotions took over. Accidents happen and natamaan ‘yung kamay ko nung sword. It got fractured, but it's fine now,” she added, clarifying that it was not a real sword that hurt her.

Her onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend Enrique Gil also said that accidents really happen especially in an action scene.

“Kapag action talaga, accidents really happen. You can't really say for certain kung safe ba ‘yun o hindi. But you know, it's really good to know that they were really out there in the rain, no matter what scene, they really gave their all. I think that's the most important part. But you know, accidents happen, action, e.” Enrique, who plays Lakas, said.

Now on its final week, the heroes of Sansinukob will face a difficult dilemma as they fight evil to protect their home from destruction.

The future of Sansinukob hangs in the balance as the monster inside Ganda gets stronger each time she does not get the cure. That is why she and Lakas must continue with their journey in search of the Puso ng Sinukuan, despite the many obstacles in their way. — Video by Kat Leandicho
