MANILA, Philippines — A month before the anticipated historical drama “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” hits the big screen, the film released its official trailer.
TBA, Studios, the production outfit behind the follow up to the box office hit “Heneral Luna” posted the two-minute long official trailer of “Goyo” last Saturday.
"Goyo," slated to be shown in cinemas nationwide on September 5, would feature the “Hero of Tirad Pass,” Gregorio del Pilar, played by Paulo Avelino.
The trailer showed how the revolution continued.
Epy Quizon and Mon Confiado, who portrayed Apolinario Mabini and President Emilio Aguinaldo, respectively, in “Heneral Luna” are set to return in this sequel.
The star-studded film also reprises the characters of Carlo Aquino and Arron Villaflor.
“Goyo” will introduce new characters such as one of the known love interests of Del Pilar, Remedios Nable Jose, portrayed by Gwen Zamora.
It also stars Alvin Anson and Empress Schuck, among many others.
The film is directed by Jerrold Tarog and produced by TBA Studios, Artikulo Uno Productions, and Globe Studios. — Rosette Adel
