Sharon Cuneta hailed as 'History Maker' for 2018
MANILA, Philippines — "Megastar" Sharon Cuneta will be adding another trophy in her rack as cable network History Channel bestowed her the History Maker Award 2018.
On her Instagram account, Sharon posted the invitation letter from the cable channel.
“What an honor. Thank You, Jesus, for another wonderful surprise! I am overwhelmed. My heart!?,” she captioned her post.
In partnership with The STAR, History Maker Awards gives appreciation to people whose talent, efforts, dedication and sacrifice illuminate and inspire the lives of many others. They are looking to honor extraordinary Filipinos who have had a significant impact on the nation's life and culture.
Launched in 2017, the History Maker Award has named Pia Wurtzbach, Anne Curtis, Hidilyn DIaz, Himalayan Adventure Team, Ryan Cayabyab, Illac Diaz, Brillante Mendoza, Reinabelle Reyes and Romi Garduce as the inaugural awardees.
The awarding will be held at the History Con 2018 at World Trade Center in Pasay on August 11.
A singer, actress, talk show host, brand endorser, and a reality show judge, the Megastar has starred in over 60 films and television shows and recorded numerous albums in her career that started in 1978.
