John Lloyd Cruz calls out ‘fake news’ on Ellen Adarna, baby’s baptism
MANILA, Philippines — On July 2, actor John Lloyd Cruz has broken his silence on the alleged baptism of his child with fellow ABS-CBN star Ellen Adarna.
In an Instagram post, John Lloyd showed a picture of the report made by Inquirer.net and its lifestyle and entertainment portal, Preen, with Ellen’s picture and a headline that says: “Ellen Adarna got her son baptized and the hospital security was extra tight.”
The actor said in the post: “F*** FAKE NEWS,” tagging along @inquirerdotnet and @preen.ph.
The post has so far reached more than 11,000 likes and a comment from @maria_taniguchi that says: “YEAH F*** FAKE NEWS!!!”
According to an updated report by Preen, its reports were based on PEP’s tip on Ellen’s alleged birth and baptism of her son with John Lloyd.
PEP’s tip, said Preen, is based on tweets by a netizen claiming to be a nurse at the hospital where Ellen allegedly gave birth. The netizen alleged that security in the hospital in Cebu became tighter ever since Ellen gave birth.
Last June 25, in a now deleted tweet, actress and TV host Jasmine Curtis Smith called out Inquirer Entertainment on Twitter for an article that said she will be a part of Alden Richards’ new TV series, “Victor Magtanggol.”
One of the articles, said Jasmine, “contains wrong information that I will be part of said show.”
Jasmine suggested that “this can be easily avoided for future write ups with fact checking.”
