Moira impresses Boyce Avenue, reveals plans to go international

MANILA, Philippines — The three brothers behind the international band Boyce Avenue believe Kapamilya singer Moira Dela Torre can make it internationally because “she’s the queen of emotion.”

In a press conference held at Novotel on Thursday for their Philippine tour, Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano were all praises for the Filipino so-called “soundtrack queen” of this generation.

“I think she can make it internationally because based on what we’ve been hearing and seen on her videos, it’s that she’s the queen of emotion. Putting that honesty and genuine emotion, I think for us, that’s the biggest reason that we’ve been able to do well internationally. People all over the world want to see that that genuine emotion, so we’re excited to see what’s happened to her. I think it’s gonna be incredible,” Fabian said of Moira. 

The female singer blushed while listening to the praises from the Florida-based band as she was speechless when asked what her reaction was. She only said “thank you” with a big smile.

Moira revealed she is targeting the USA market because her cousin is a singer-songwriter in the States. Her cousin created a team of producers, musical arrangers, singers and musicians that just want to collaborate and make music.

“In the years that I’ve been going back and forth to see my family, I had done shows with my cousins. I think they created an atmosphere where we could be free to explore different genres for me, so I feel I can grow more there plus Boyce Avenue is in America,” Moira said.

Boyce Avenue is planning to do a music collaboration with Moira, a duet for a certain cover song that has lots of emotions and passion that they will upload on their YouTube channel with 10.6 million subscribers.

For their seventh time in the country, Boyce Avenue, together with Moira, will have three shows organized and presented by Wilbros Live. The first show is this June 1 at the Araneta Coliseum, then they will fly to Cebu for a June 2 show at the Waterfront Hotel Ballroom, before capping it with a June 3 concert at the SMX Convention Center Davao.
