Erich lookalike? Daniel Matsunaga reacts to rumors about present girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines — Daniel Matsunaga has broken his silence on rumors spreading on social media that his present Polish girlfriend, Karolina Pisarek, looks like his ex-girlfriend Erich Gonzales.

In a recent interview with Philstar.com following an Avon Fashions show, the actor said, “She doesn’t! Totally different!” when asked if he agrees that Karolina reportedly looks like Erich.

After a string of heartbreaks with Filipina girlfriends, Daniel has found happiness with his Polish girlfriend — and he even thinks that she is “the one.”

“She’s also part of showbiz in Poland… She’s very famous. Everywhere we go, people want to take pictures with her. There’s paparazzi everywhere even when we’re just walking the street,” he said of Karolina, a runner-up in the fifth season (2015) of Poland's version of the hit reality TV series "America's Next Top Model.”

Daniel shared that he has also become popular in Poland right now because of his girlfriend.

Karolina, according to him, knows everything about his past relationships, including those with actresses Erich and Heart Evangelista.

He met Karolina when she went to the Philippines for an advertising campaign. He hopes their long-distance relationship will end with Karolina joining him in the Philippines.
