‘I feel empty’: Sarah Geronimo breaks down in Vegas

MANILA, Philippines — Pop star Sarah Geronimo turned emotional in her Las Vegas concert for her 15th anniversary “This 15 Me” tour as she can be seen crying in the videos uploaded by fans.

According to news reports, the “exhausted” star even walked out of the stage and was unable to finish some songs. She kept apologizing to her audience as she felt like her voice was not that good in the concert.

“I’m sorry, pagod po ako. I’m so sorry. I hope na kayanin ko ma-survive itong gabing ito because you paid at gumastos po kayo na mabigyan namin kayo ng entertainment. I’m so sorry,” Sarah said.

She admitted there was a time that after watching videos of Michael Jackson being surrounded by crying and screaming fans, she realized that she is not prepared for that kind of life.

"Ginusto ko pong maibahagi ang talento ko pero, hindi pala ako handa sa mga kasama doon sa hiningi ko, lalong-lalo na 'yung pressure to always do good, maging role model ka, maging perpekto ka. Mahirap po."

Sarah rose to fame after winning talent search “Star for a Night” in 2003. Since then, she has released multi-platinum albums and starred in blockbuster movies.

"Kayo po na patuloy na naniniwala, 15 years. Maraming, maraming salamat po. Forever po akong magiging thankful sa inyo. Pasensya na po," she told her Vegas audience before continuing to perform her first hit “Forever’s Not Enough.”

“I have been asking myself bakit I feel empty. Hindi ‘yung successful na shows or mga hits ang makakapagpakumpleto sa iyo, ang makakapagpasaya sa iyo bilang tao, kundi ‘yung tunay na pagmamahal na hindi nagbabago, perpekto ka man o hindi. At unti-unti kong hinahanap kung ano ang gagawin ko para I will feel fulfilled,” she confessed.

According to news reports, Sarah has been admitting that she has been having a “quarter-life crisis” in as early as 2013.

"Unti-unti po, hinahanap ko kung ano ba talaga 'yung gagawin ko para I will feel fulfilled. Until now, pumapasok pa rin siya sa isip ko,” she told her Vegas crowd.

“But then, may nagsabi sa akin na, 'Sarah, huwag ka na maghanap, kasi iyan 'yung binigay na talento ng Diyos para sa 'yo, so use that as a platform to honor His name, to glorify His name, and to become an inspiration to other people'." — Video from YouTube/I Stan Sarah Geronimo
