MANILA, Philippines — After unleashing revelations against basketball star James Yap over the weekend, returning Kapamilya star Kris Aquino posted on social media her dismay over Korina Sanchez’s show “Rated K” that featured Kris’s former husband.

In posts on her Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, Kris said she had enough.

“Sampal sa mukha ko ang inilabas na feature ngayong gabi nung misis ni Mar Roxas. Yes pinepersonal ko dahil binuwis ko ang kinabukasan namin ng mga anak ko ng walang inasahang kapalit. At ang ganti sa kin at sa mga anak ko ngayon ay binida pa ang deadbeat na tatay,” Kris wrote on her post.

In an Instagram post backed by Whitney Houston’s song “Try It on My Own,” Kris explained what compelled her to come up with a series of posts against Korina and James.

“My anger comes from the heart of a mother who has been unnecessarily stepped on by someone who has been blessed w/ a loving & devoted husband & does not know the hardship of having to go it alone,” Kris said, pertaining to Korina.

“I know I’ve unleashed a double edged sword. I know i’ve made enemies, and i’ve also found kindred spirits in MOTHERS who like me have felt that they have had ENOUGH & they had to take a stand & say I AM NOW FIGHTING BACK. I also know i have personal demons i need to exorcise because no matter what i still want to be someone my sons can be proud of... so i will collect my thoughts & try my best to forgive regardless of the fact no remorse has ever been shown.”

Kris and Korina were once co-hosts of ABS-CBN’s morning show “Morning Girls with Kris and Korina.”

When personal became political

To seemingly appeal to Korina’s conscience, Kris recalled in her post her endorsement for Korina’s husband, Mar Roxas, last presidential elections. The award-winning host said she accepted it because of her love for brother and former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

“I have really had ENOUGH. Simple lang- minsan lang akong pinakiusapan ng kapatid ko- never para sa sarili nya pero para sa kandidatong inendorso nya. Dahil mahal ko sya ginawa ko. Lahat ng batikos ng dahil sa pagtulong na yon tinaggap ko,” Kris wrote.

Kris, however, also apologized for dragging Mar into the issue.

“Mar, to you i am sorry. In the same way i would always wonder why i would be dragged into issues not of my doing- i was guilty of that tonight.”

Nonetheless, Kris seemingly regretted having supported Mar instead of the current president, Rodrigo Duterte. According to her, Duterte’s camp was kind to her even if she supported the opposing Liberal Party.

“Tatlong beses akong nagpunta sa Davao- sa kampanya nung 2010, kampanya 2013 para kay Sen Chiz & Sen Grace at nung nag Kris Tv. Si PRRD lahat nung pagkakataon na nagkaharap kami, mabuti ang pinakita sa kin,” she noted.

She then apologized to her brother and her godmother, the mother of Mar, and ended it with a fist bump, President Duterte’s trademark sign.

“I apologize sa Kuya ko, humihingi rin ako ng paumanhin sa ninang ko na nanay ni Mar- pero klarong klaro sa kin kung bakit ang nanalong Pangulo ay si DUTERTE.”

Though sorry for touching on politics, she said she will not delete her posts.

“I apologize for including politics, but that is the unfortunate baggage & responsibility of my last name. But i will not delete any posts because (rewritten after some prayers)... I’ll be back after i have found my peace. Until then, to all those who still found it in their hearts to understand & embrace me & my sons- you have my eternal gratitude. #laban.”

War on James

Last April 19, during her son Bimby’s birthday, Kris began her open letter and tirades against her former husband and Bimby’s dad.

“Ngayon patas na tayo, hindi na ko pwedeng ma-accuse ng power tripping. NANAHIMIK ako for so LONG- even when you crossed the line when promoting that bar you are part owner of- nagsalita ka & nasa PEP yung video na napanuod ni Bimb mismo,” Kris said in a Twitter post accompanied by a video.

“Even the nicest people have their limits,” the video began.

Kris posted James’s birthday message for Bimby, but followed it up with her own quotes like “I didn’t set out to be a single parent. I set out to be the best parent I can be… and that hasn’t changed” and “I will fight for my family until my last breath.”

The video had Taylor Swift’s song “Look What You Made Me Do” playing on the background. Kris is a self-declared “Swiftie” or Taylor fan.

“You are what you do, not what you say you do… Nobody is so busy, it’s just a matter of priorities,” Kris told James in the video.

“Don’t touch him (Bimby),” she warned her former husband.

“Oh please, don’t pretend you actually care… I’m sorry if you don’t like my honesty but to be fair, I don’t like your lies.”

The video ended with the line “You want a fight, I’ll bring a war.”

Child support

In her next Twitter post, Kris first addressed the issue of James’s supposed lack of time for Bimby.

“Nakakawalang ganang mag effort na magpaka tatay kay Bimb kasi hindi naman appreciated. UTANG NA LOOB... flashback 2013- trying hard kang umiyak (i say trying hard kasi walang luha, puro uhog lang) sa interview mo sa TV Patrol dahil ‘pinagkakait’ ko si Bimb sa yo,” she said.

Second, she revealed that James is not giving enough financial support for his son.

“Ay oo nga pala, of course pinagaksayahan mo sya ng panahon 5 years ago- kasi nasa Malacañang pa ang Tito nya... Nung tinanong ka bakit hindi ka na nag share sa tuition ni Bimb ang ‘excuse’ mo dahil hindi ka na consult nung ililipat sya ng school,” Kris said in the post.

She claimed that instead of defending Bimby from bashers, James also allegedly called his son effeminate.

“Sinunod ko yung annulment compromise financial agreement of 2011 w/c gave you millions; 2014 tayo pumirma ng compromise child support, once ka lang nag abot ng half mo pang education ni Bimb- after the signing. When Bimb saw the post na BINASTOS sya na ‘baklain’ sya,” Kris said.

“He (Bimby) shrugged it off & said: ‘Mom- who cares? My own biological dad said that about me in court & he’s said it so many other times?’ Nanahimik pa rin ako about that kasi feeling ko- wag mo kaming guluhin, peaceful tayo... Eh humirit ka w/ your birthday post.”

Dirty laundry

According to Kris, James is just using her and her family.

“So bakit nga ba hindi kayo nagkikita? Ganito ka simple- wala ka nang pakinabang kay Bimb. Wala na kasi kaming ‘power’ so bakit ka pa didikit? Madali kung gusto mo. Ang kapatid mo ka Facebook si Bincai. Yung napakabait na pamilya from Iloilo na parang 2nd family mo ay… ay hanggang ngayon ka close ni Ate at Pinky... you are missing out on experiencing what a caring, generous, polite & lovable boy Bimb is- and it is your LOSS,” she said.

Although seemingly angry, Kris still managed to insert some humor into her posts and even assert her reputation as an endorsement queen.

“I am ready to be bashed for washing our dirty laundry (of course w/ Ariel Antibac w/ the power of Safeguard)… on IG BUT this mother has had it w/ half truths & hypocrisy & she needed to make a stand for truth. #lookwhatyoumademedo ~ Kris,” Aquino concluded in her open letter. — Reports from Deni Rose M.
