MANILA, Philippines — Following the reunion of ‘90s love teams Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta and Aga Muhlach and Lea Salonga, many fans are also yearning for the reunion of “Do Re Mi” stars Donna Cruz, Regine Velasquez, and Mikee Cojuangco.
The lead actresses of the ‘90s hit movie made headlines in October last year when they performed their hit soundtrack for the film, “I Can,” as a surprise number at Regine’s anniversary concert.
During Regine and son Nate’s launch as new Jollibee endorsers last week, Regine and Nate performed “I Can.”
Philstar.com then asked Regine if more of their trio can be seen together through a “Do Re Mi” remake or sequel.
The singer-actress then revealed that she, Donna and Mikee have kept in touch all these years. In fact, they have their own Viber group.
“We wanna work together if there is a project for the three of us. Oh my goodness, we’ll be so happy to work together!” said Regine.
“I think kung magmomovie, kahit ‘di ‘Do Re Mi,’ basta the three of us will be part of it, we’ll be so happy to do it. We’ve been friends for a long time and we remained as friends even ‘til now,” she enthused.
“Maganda rin na magkakatrabaho kami together kasi it means that we’ll be together for a long time kasi nga we don’t get to see each other often kasi may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay, busy din, so we’d be so excited if someone will give us a project. Hello!” — Video by Kat Leandicho
