'BeaRald' still on: Gerald Anderson defends Bea Alonzo anew
MANILA, Philippines — Netizens were abuzz after fans discovered that Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo unfollowed and deleted photos of rumored boyfriend Gerald Anderson and her good friend Pia Wurtzbach on Instagram last month.
In an interview with the media during the Skechers x Camila Hi Lites event last Sunday in Trinoma, Gerald set the record straight that it was just a misunderstanding and the issue is now resolved.
"Sana maintindihan niyo. Ayoko nang humaba pa. Parang let’s just share positivity. Huwag na ‘yung puro nega na tao,” the Kapamilya actor said.
Bea has been receiving bashing comments and statements on different social media platforms since the unfollowing incident, and Gerald has a message to Bea’s bashers.
"Ang gusto kong sabihin sa mga bashers, ‘yung mga nag- judge kay Bea na, ‘Wow, talaga?’ Parang siguraduhin niyo na perfect kayo bago kayo magsabi nang masama tungkol sa ibang tao, celebrity man or normal na tao. Parang wala tayong karapatan at wala kayo sa sitwasyon. So ‘yun lang,” the actor said.
Gerald added that he and Bea are now doing well. Reports said that they were together in London last week.
"Basta ang importante okay ang lahat at okay kami. Basta okay naman. Basta moving forward tayong lahat. Parang sa dami ng negativity sa mundo, let’s focus on being positive. ‘Yun yung message ko para sa mga tao,” he said.
Gerald was the main attraction at the Skechers fashion show that showcased a full summer-spring 2018 collection inspired by ex-Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello.
