Rachel Gabreza wins in London competition

MANILA, Philippines — Rachel Gabreza, 25, won the Stars of Albion Grand Prix 2018 during the fifth International Performing Arts Festival & Competition held in Rudolf Steiner House and Theater in London, United Kingdom.

Rachel performed Michael Bolton’s Go The Distance in the first level and I Am Changing by Jennifer Hudson from the Broadway musical Dreamgirls in the final level. She defeated singers from Russia, Great Britain, Malta, USA, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Greece, Cyprus, Estonia, India, Georgia, Armenia, Latvia and Ghana, among others. Rachel pocketed 500 British pounds, a trophy and a certificate.

Rachel was among the Top 8 on GMA’s Are You the Next Big Star? (won by Franchesca Farr) in 2009, a 2017 finalist in ABS-CBN’s Tawag ng Tanghalan (won by Noven Belleza) and is currently an OPM member. She was accompanied to London by Euro Talent Festival voice coach and 5th Gen Power Belter Marielle Mamaclay.
