How Gary Valenciano, wife Angeli stay strong together
MANILA, Philippines — Gary Valenciano and wife Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano have been married for 34 years now, only a year short of Gary’s career milestone as a singer-actor for 35 years this year.
How do they keep it together?
“Face the challenges and know that it’s never smooth-sailing and it can get really rough, and sometimes that boat can capsize,” Gary shared on his and his wife’s relationship secret, which is also his advise for anyone with #RelationshipGoals.
“But only the boat capsizes, and not the people in it. The people in it don’t have to give up their lives for it, but they just need to face it, they need to accept it. They might not understand it, but when they understand that they’re together for a reason, then things can turn around,” Gary told Philstar.com in an interview following his launch as a Panasonic endorser on Monday.
Valenciano kicks-off the year-long celebration of his 35th anniversary in the industry with the much-awaited reprise of his critically acclaimed Valentine concert “Love In Motion,” which will be staged on February 14, Valentine’s Day, at the grand ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, The Fort.
Directed by Gary and Angeli’s son, Paolo Valenciano, with musical direction by Mel Villena and vocal musical direction by Mon Faustino, “Love In Motion” first had a two-night run in 2017, marking Gary’s very first solo Valentine concert in Manila in almost 20 years.
