MANILA, Philippines — Korean boy band member Taeyang of BIGBANG and K-actress Min Hyo Rin have tied the knot in a private ceremony in Gyeonggi, South Korea afternoon of February 3.
Taeyang has married his "first love" and "muse" Min in the first big Korean entertainment wedding of 2018.
According to Soompi.com, the after-party celebration is organized by event planner Youngsong Martin, who is known for creating the forest wedding scene in the Breaking Dawn movie (Twilight) of characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen.
The couple first met in 2014, as Min was featured in Taeyang's 1AM music video for his RISE album. The actress' face was also revealed in Taeyang's Eyes Nose Lips music video.
They were revealed to be dating in 2015. In December last year, Taeyang and Min announced their plan to wed in 2018, months ahead of Taeyang's rumored enlistment to his 2-year military duty.
In his Instagram post announcing their wedding, Taeyang referred to Min sa "one who has always stuck by me for the past four years."
The BIGBANG member last went to the Philippines for his solo concert in September last year, as he serenaded Araneta Coliseum with songs from his third solo album White Night.
BIGBANG—G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung and Seungri—last had a concert in Philippines in 2015, with jampacked MOA Arena, for their MADE album tour.
Members of the boy group, actors and actresses, as well as artists from YG Entertainment, PSY, CL and Dara of now-defunct 2NE1, Mino and Seunghoon of WINNER, SE7EN also attended the ceremony.
Before tying the knot, the couple graced the cover of DAZED Magazine.
