MANILA, Philippines — After years of staying at the top of the Philippine rap industry, Gloc-9 still makes sure that his feet are on the ground.

During a recent interview with Philstar.com, Gloc-9 gave credit to his mentor, Original Pinoy Music (OPM) "King of Rap" Francis M.

Anything na kaya kong ibalik sa kanila, gagawin ko,” Gloc-9 told members of the media during his “Rotonda” album launch at Eastwood, Quezon City.

No wonder why the public loves Aristotle Pollisco, a.k.a. Gloc-9, apart from his rapping skills. The multi-awarded music icon has no plans of slowing down as his game plan is to sustain the momentum.

For his ninth album, Gloc-9 decided to only make six tracks, five of them are new, for him to release faster products.

For him, the songs in the album have a personal connection. Theses songs are his views on different things.

“Yung title track na ‘Rotonda,’ although medyo social commentary pa rin sya, but if you listen to the song, medyo mas reflection s'ya ng buhay kaya ‘Rotonda’ din 'yung title ng CD, dahil naniniwala ako na sa buhay natin, lahat ng nangyayari, lahat ng mga taong nakikilala natin, pangit man o maganda, sa buhay natin, dadaanin ulit natin' yan eh. Kaya ko sya tinawag na 'Rotonda'.”

Produced by Universal Records, Gloc-9's new album “Rotonda” is available in CD and digital formats.
