From top model to 'got talent': Tyra Banks is new 'America's Got Talent' host
MANILA, Philippines — Judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel are back on a quest to find the best talent the country has to offer. Supermodel Tyra Banks, host and creator of hit reality TV series "America's Next Top Model," joins as "America's Got Talent" (AGT) host this season.
A celebration of creativity and talent, AGT features a colorful array of singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, magicians, impressionists, jugglers, ventriloquists and hopeful stars, all vying to win America’s hearts and the $1 million prize.
The competition takes place in Los Angeles, with live shows from the famed Dolby Theater.
Created by Simon Cowell, AGT debuted in 2006 and is part of the global "Got Talent" franchise. Other guest judges in the past seasons included David Hasselhoff, Sharon Osbourne, Jerry Springer, Neil Patrick Harris, and Michael Buble.
AGTSeason 12 will premiere on January 7, 9 p.m., on Blue Ant Entertainment.
