New and returning loveteams and captivating stories of love and family will grace viewers’ television as ABS-CBN announced its new line-up of shows for the first quarter of 2018 during the trade event for advertisers dubbed as Just Love: The ABS-CBN Trade Event held last Tuesday (Nov 28) at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent.
Stars of much-anticipated series Bagani, which marks the comeback of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil on television with Sofia Andres and Makisig Morales, gave a sneak peek of their upcoming series with their tribal-inspired performance.
Erich Gonzales, Enchong Dee, and Ejay Falcon, meanwhile, will reunite and show their versatility in The Blood Sisters. They also offered a steamy performance that heat up the Vertis Tent stage.
Ultimate heartthrob Piolo Pascual returns to television via No Ordinary Love, with Arci Muñoz, JC De Vera, and the notable loveteam of Alessandra De Rossi and Empoy. Their gold-themed sing and dance performance during the night captivated the advertisers and drew loud applauses.
Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap, meanwhile, will once again spread kilig vibes to viewers via their new series Sana Dalawa ang Puso, which also stars Robin Padilla. Jodi and Richard also mesmerized the audience with their chemistry in their sing and dance number.
ABS-CBN’s newest offering also include Pilipinas Got Talent, which returns for another season, with Vice Ganda, Freddie Garcia, Robin Padilla, and Angel Locsin as judges, and Billy Crawford and Toni Gonzaga as hosts. Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiba will also team up for Playhouse, a story that will display the joy and struggles of love.
Asianovela fans are also up for huge surprises as the Kapamilya network announced Meteor Garden 2018, The King is In Love, and Black as part of its future line-up.
Aside from upcoming TV shows, ABS-CBN also teased the advertisers with Star Cinema’s MMFF offering Revenger Squad starring Vice, Daniel Padilla, and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
The trade event also refreshed the advertisers with the existing Kapamilya shows that remain undisputed in national TV ratings.
La Luna Sangre cast led by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel made the crowd roar with their wolves-versus-vampires routine, including Richard Gutierrez, Tony Labrusca, and Meryl Soriano.
The It’s Showtime family performed an 80s-inspired dance number as they danced in the tune of disco music.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and Ang Panday’s Coco Martin impressed the audience with his rap skills along with Fliptop battlers.
Real-life mother and son and stars of new series Hanggang Saan Sylvia Sanchez and Arjo Atayde surprised everyone with their dance moves and stage presence as they danced to Britney Spears’ Toxic.
The Good Son stars Joshua Garcia, Jerome Ponce, Loisa Andalio, McCoy De Leon, Nash Aguas, and Alexa Ilacad also hyped the crowd with their dancing skills.
Five advertisers also had the chance to shine as they played as “secret songers” in I Can See You Voice hosted by Luis Manzano with “sing-vestigators” Angeline Quinto, Alex Gonzaga, Bayani Agbayani, Kian Cipriano, Andrew E, and Wacky Kiray. Momshies Melai Cantiveros, Karla Estrada, and Jolina Magdangal played as guest celebrity singers.
At the end of the program, the advertisers had the chance to meet their favorite Kapamilya celebrities up close as they exchanged hugs on stage to spread the spirit of Christmas.
