MANILA, Philippines — All eyes might be on Kapamilya stars Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff for trying the knot in New Zealand. But on the other side of the fence, the Kapuso network also celebrates another “Wedding of the Year” — that of actors and rock stars Kean Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza.

In a series of Instagram posts, #TheCips, as Chynna, Kean and their baby Stellar famously call themselves on social media, shared how they marked one of the most important days in their lives in an intimate church ceremony last November 7.

Friends and family of the couple gathered at the Twin Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Quezon City to witness the lovebirds exchange “I do’s” for the second time, as they already got hitched in a civil ceremony on Jan. 1, 2016.

Among those who witnessed the special occasion were celebrity couple John Prats and Isabel Oli-Prats.

Netizens described the church wedding as “very modern” and gothic, with Chynna wearing a gray dress instead of the conventional white one. It was designed by Edwin Tan and the late designer Pepsi Herrera. It came with matching bouquet of "dead" flowers. Even the flowers that adorned the church appeared to be dead, true to the couple's rock star image.

The couple's entourage was also in all black.

No I never saw myself as a vision in white.. I distinctly remember showing my best friend my dream gown a good 5 years ago with no fiancé to speak of and it was a lovely shade of grey with embellishments fit for a dark queen. I told myself.. maybe one day I'll make it to the altar in something like that. Fast forward to 2016 while planning for my wedding I happily bumped into @edwintan_ph & mentioned that I was starting to plan my wedding. He then mentioned it to Pepsi who I bumped into that same night. Pepsi promised me when I was 20 that he would dress me up for my wedding and he did not forget his promise. And so after a few months, I visited Pepsi & we started to work on my wedding dress. However, after a few weeks Pepsi was called on to a better place. I am most thankful to Edwin for making this dream dress for me. Another collaboration between him & Pepsi.. one of the last few that they worked on in this lifetime. This makes it all the more special for me. From the bottom of my heart thank you @pepsiherreraedwintan for the love you have given me throughout the years. #TilDeathWeDoArt #TheCips

For a wedding vow, Kean wrote a song for Chynna.

In a post, the actress expressed how grateful she is for the song and for having Kean in her life: "Salamat mahal ko para sa kanta na sinulat mo para sa akin. Hindi ko lubos na inakala na may matatanggap ako na napakagandang regalo. Ibang feels ito abot sa pinaka malayong galaxy malapit na kay God kasi dahil pinagdasal ko ang desire na ito ng puso ko at naniwala ako na may tao siyang nilaan para sakin."

In her Instagram profile, Chynna provided a link to their on-the-day wedding video that sums up their journey and faithfulness as a couple.

Kean also thanks Chynna for loving him and for being an inspiration. "You are the best thing that ever happened to me," he said.

"It's gonna be a crazy ride I know, but we're both crazy so it's just perfect. I love you!"
