The concert calendar

Pilita Corrales: Nov. 10 at The Theatre, Solaire.

With euphoria still raging over his wife Regine Velasquez-Alcasid’s fantastic two-night stint at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena last month, it would be interesting to find out what Ogie Alcasid has to offer on his own as a performer. A lot, I can say.

Ogie will be at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila on Nov. 30. He is a singer, songwriter and comedian with a rich 19 years of experience in show business. And when the show is titled The Soundtrack of My Life, you can bet that Ogie will not only be sharing his experiences as a son, husband and father for the past 50 years but will also be singing the hit songs that have become part of the soundtracks of our lives.

He has a lot. Kailangan Kita, Dito Sa Puso Ko, Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw, Nandito Ako, Kung Mawawala Ka, Pangako, Ikaw Sana, Hanggang Ngayon, Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka and maybe even his latest Nakakalokal, plus many more. Ogie will be accompanied by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Rodel Colmenar. The show is directed by  Roxanne Lapus and includes a special guest appearance by who else but Mrs. A herself, Songbird Regine.

And now here are the music events happening hereabouts available for everybody to enjoy:

And set for a still undisclosed date in April, Ed Sheeran’s Divide tour in a one-night stint at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds.

The British pop star was injured in a biking accident in London a few weeks ago and incurred fractures on his right wrist and left elbow. So he is now in a cast and of course, unable to perform.  He had been advised by his doctor to rest.  Therefore he  had to request for a postponement of the dates in the early leg of his Asian tour including Manila.  And the new date is on April 2018.
