MANILA, Philippines — Philippine bet Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez was crowned 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana on Sunday morning.
Marquez bested out 26 other candidates in the pageant held in Bolivia. This is the first time the Philippines joined the pageant celebrating the Hispanic heritage and culture making Marquez the first Filipina to win the title.

Marquez succeeded former Reina Hispanoamericana Camila Soleibe from Colombia.
During the pre-pageant, Marquez won several special awards.
She bagged the third spot in the Traditional Costume category where she wore a Pintados-inspired costume made by designer Edwin Uy.
Marquez also won first runner-up in Miss Personality category and became one of the finalists in Best Smile and Miss Silhouette categories and was named Ipanema girl.
She was named Philippine bet to the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant last September 3. She also joined Binibining Pilipinas 2015.
The new Reina Hispanoamericana is the daughter of Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez.
