Celebrities ask prayers for Isabel Granada

MANILA, Philippines — Actress and entrepreneur Isabel Granada is said to be in a coma after suddenly collapsing in Qatar.
In an Instagram post Wednesday morning by Isabel’s friend, actress Bianca Lapus, Bianca said: “I would like to ask for healing prayers for my dear friend, sis Isabel Granada.”
According to Bianca, she got information from former actor and promoter Robby Tarroza that Isabel is “in critical condition” due to “massive internal bleeding in the head” allegedly caused by brain aneurysm.
Bianca was also informed by Filipino nurse Michael Soliven that Isabel has been reportedly rushed to the Heart Hospital in Doha and then transferred to the nearby Hamad General Hospital, which confirmed that she suffered from internal bleeding due to brain aneurysm. She is said to be due for a major operation today as she also reportedly had “6 times cardiac arrests.”
The 41-year-old Granada is said to be in Qatar for a business tour with husband Arnel Cowley, who owns multi-level marketing company Star Net. The actress serves as the company’s marketing director. She was also invited to speak at the Philippine Trade and Tourism Conference – Qatar on October 20 in Shangri-La Hotel Doha.
In a Facebook status, Isabel’s former love team partner, Chuckie Dreyfus, also asked for prayers for Isabel or Isa to her friends.
“I don't want to add to the frenzy of posts about Isabel Granada's current medical condition. I myself woke up to this very terrible news. I have spoken to her husband and am currently keeping tabs on her status,” Chuckie said.
“Instead, I would just like to ask everyone for prayers for Isa's quick recovery and restoration. Just a quick prayer. Anywhere you may be. Spare a minute of your time or perhaps just a couple of seconds.”
According to Chuckie, “Isa is a really wonderful person. Very joyful, loving and truly passionate in everything she does. Walang masamang tinapay kahit kanino. Pala-bungisngis. She is also the person I've spent more than half of my life with in and out of showbiz. That's why it truly pains me all the more to know that this has happened to a person such as her.”
He asks Isa to be strong. “You've always been a fighter. You're one of the strongest women I know, mentally, spiritually and emotionally.”
Chuckie and Isabel were part of German Moreno’s hit variety show “That’s Entertainment” in the 1990s.
In her Facebook status on Monday, Isabel cited Bible passages and said: "As you turn your attention to Christ Jesus, feel the Light of His Presence shining upon you. Open your mind and heart to receive His heavenly smile of approval. Let His gold-tinged Love wash over you and soak into the depths of your being. As you are increasingly filled with His Being, you experience joyous union with Him. He suffuses your soul with Joy in His Presence; at His right hand there are pleasures forevermore."
