Ellen Adarna explains new kissing video with Baste Duterte
MANILA, Philippines — Back into each other’s arms?
Such a thought bubble popped into people’s heads upon seeing actress Ellen Adarna’s recent viral video showing her in the arms and locking lips with presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte during a party only last month.
So, does this means they have kissed and made up?
“That was nothing! Okay, he’s my ex-boyfriend. We’re still friends, we still talk, but wala na talaga,” enthused Ellen during an interview with Philstar.com Tuesday night.
“We did it just for a show,” said Ellen, who was shown in the viral video singing a Visayan song, which, according to her, was her “moving on” and “hurting” song when they broke up. “Nilasing nila kami, ‘di ba? So after the song, he went up and kissed me. It was really very friendly.”
Ellen said that moment that they kissed, she did not miss Baste, though she admitted that sometimes, she misses him.
She assured that she no longer feels hurt by the breakup. “Wala na, wala na. I’ve moved on. He’s, I don’t know, seeing others?”
For now, she is also closing her doors for a second chance with him. “Not now, wala, wala, wala.”
Besides the kissing video, Ellen’s reactions to current events, such as the proposed tax on sweetened drinks, also went viral. In the interview, she said that she vetoes such a law because “even non-caloric food tina-tax nila.”
As a smoker, she is also not purely for the nationwide smoking ban. “I’m a smoker. Wala eh, that’s the law. You have to follow it. There are designated areas and nahuli na ‘ko before. Sa Davao pa ha! I had to pay P10,000, bwiset!” she recalled an incident four years ago.
Was Baste able to help her?
“Ay hindi! Wala pa s’yang kuwenta pa nu’n,” Ellen joked.
It seems that there are no special treatments under the law nowadays, even for a friend or a lover of President Rodrigo Duterte’s son.
