'X-Men' star Troye Sivan confirmed to be in Manila

MANILA, Philippines — It is confirmed: a Hollywood actor was in Manila on Thursday.
In a press statement released to Philstar.com, mall chain SM confirmed that South African-Australian singer and songwriter Troye Sivan was in SM Makati on Thursday.
Fans who bumped into Sivan in the mall went gaga over him on social media.

Sivan famously portrayed the young Logan in the 2009 flick, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." His other films include the "Spud" trilogy.
In 2014, his album "TRXYE" topped at number five at the U.S. Billboard 200. His hits include "Happy Little Pill," "Youth," "Wild" and "Fools."
As a YouTube vlogger (video blogger), Sivan has over four million subscribers with more than 240 million views. Among his famous videos is "The 'Boyfriend' Tag" with vlogger Tyler Oakley, which earned him and Tyler a Teen Choice Award.
As a theater actor, he played in the Australian productions of "Oliver!" and "Waiting for Godot."
In 2014, Time named Sivan one of the year's "25 Most Influential Teens."
