Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran confirmed on Twitter that he will guest-star in the seventh season of hit fantasy series, “Game of Thrones.”

In his Twitter account this morning, Sheeran retweeted a “Vanity Fair” photo showing him with “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams, a big fan of his who plays Arya Stark in the show. His post read, “Guess the cat’s out the bag…”

David Benioff and DB Weiss, the series’ creators, have been going after Sheeran for some time now to be in the show since Maisie is a fan. The creators gave the singer a role in the seventh season, for which he has been fondly dubbed by the press as the new “Eddard.”

Eddard Stark was Arya's father, played by Sean Bean.

Sheeran last visited Manila in 2015 for a concert. The Grammy Award winner is best-known for his hits like “Thinking Out Loud,” “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill.”

“Game of Thrones” Season Seven will start showing in July.
