5 things you need to know about LizQuen
MANILA, Philippines — Lovebirds Enrique Gil and Liza are spending Valentine’s in Cebu. During their recent press conference for their latest movie, “My Ex and Whys,” which premiered yesterday, LizQuen, as they are fondly called, revealed some secrets about each other.
What is a perfect date for them?
Liza: “Sa Luneta!”
Enrique: “Luneta talaga?”
Liza: “Joke lang po yun! Kasi naisip ko, ‘di ba ‘pag nagde-date yung mga mag-syota…”
Enrique: “Gusto ko talaga sa beach talaga!”
Liza used to call Enrique ‘kuya’
Liza: “Even before ‘Forevermore,’ sobrang nahihiya po ako kay Quen. Kuya pa nga tawag ko sa kanya. It didn’t feel right at first, but as I got to know him, naging friends kami…It became easier to work with him. Ang pinakamalaking change na nangyari sa’min through the years ay mas naging more comfortable kami. Mas alam na naming ang strengths and weaknesses ng isa’t isa…Natutulungan po naming ang isa’t isa when it comes to a scene.”
Enrique: “We know each other more now than before, so it’s easier to work.”
Their favorite rom-coms
Liza: “’Fifty First Dates.’ I like that movie a lot. I can’t explain why.”
Enrique: “’Pretty Woman.’ But yung una kong iniyakan ko talaga…Si Adam Sandler in ‘Big Daddy’…That scene when the judge told him he has no right over the child. Tapos ‘yung bata, tinatawag na n’ya yung superhero name ni Adam Sandler.”
Liza: ‘Koreans are scary!’
According to director, Cathy Molina, it was windy in South Korea when they shot “My Ex and Whys.”
“Koreans are scary!” recalled Liza, who was scolded by an old local woman when she tried to walk in a street the wrong way.
She believes, however, that “Koreans are really very stylish, more stylish than New Yorkers, they dress up even if they’re just going to the market!”
“Korea is like the New York of Asia,” added Enrique. “Koreans are very healthy and they walk a lot!”
Molina thinks that Koreans are so fashion-conscious that she saw a boy shield his bangs first when the wind started to blow harder.
Liza is not scared to eat her heart out
According to Enrique, while other girls get timid to eat in front of him, when it comes to Liza, there is no “arte-arte” when it comes to food. If he asks her if she wants to eat, she really eats and is not afraid to eat more and show that she is enjoying her food.
This season of love, Cadbury introduces its newest ambassador, Liza. According to the chocolate brand, as one of the country’s biggest stars and most popular heartthrobs, Liza is the epitome of heartwarming sweetness.
When asked about Cadbury Dairy Milk’s new Valentines Campaign featuring a limited-edition Valentine’s sleeve, Liza does not hold back on her excitement. “I think it’s a really fun and sweet way for people to express their love for their significant others on Valentine’s! It’s so convenient! Chocolate and a card in one!” She also adds, “I’m so happy to be the newest endorser. Everybody knows I have sweet tooth and I just love endorsing something that I really like and makes me happy!”
This Valentine’s Day, be a sweetheart like Liza. Take her invaluable advice: “Don’t be afraid to express the way you feel! Love is a beautiful thing!”
