LizQuen: Every day is Valentine’s Day

It doesn’t have to be Feb. 14 for Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, a.k.a. LizQuen, to be in love. For them, every day is Valentine’s Day since love is for all seasons and for all reasons.

Opening nationwide on Wednesday, Feb. 15, is Star Cinema’s Valentine offering My Ex and Whys, the latest screen caper of the loveteam described by Enrique as “more mature” compared to his and Liza’s previous characters in such movies as She’s The One (2013, with Bea Alonzo and Dingdong Dantes), Just The Way You Are (2015, their first lead starrer) and Everyday I Love You (2015).

In My Ex and Whys, directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, Enrique plays Gio, a playboy who will have to prove that he has changed, and Liza as his ex-girlfriend Cali, a blogger who is hesitant to fall in love again. Parts of the movie’s highlights were shot in the scenic spots of South Korea. Other members of the cast are Joey Marquez, Ara Mina, Arlene Muhlach, Dominic Roque, Ryan Bang, Neil Coleta, Cai Cortez and Hyubs Azarcon.

A red-carpet premiere is scheduled tomorrow night at SM Megamall. The movie will be screened in key cities worldwide: Feb. 16 in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman; Feb. 17 in the US and Canada; Feb. 18 and 19 in the United Kingdom; Feb. 19 in Vienna, Milan, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona and Malta; Feb. 23 in Papua New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand; Feb. 24 in Saipan; and March 5 in Hong Kong.

During the recent Miss Universe activity, Enrique was asked how he viewed Liza if she were a beauty queen.

“She’s my Miss Universe,” replied Enrique who, at 24, is Liza’s senior by six years.

Taking a cue on that, Conversations asked LizQuen to take the “If I Were” fun test.
