Memories of Lady Gaga’s “The Born This Way Ball Tour” in Manila last 2012 flashed in one’s head as she performed her classics “Bad Romance,” “Just Dance,” “Telephone,” and “Poker Face,” along with new hit, “Million Reasons,” for the Super Bowl halftime show today in what is considered as “the biggest stage on the planet.”
The six-time Grammy Award winner brought back her trademark shoulder pads, studded jacket, blazing effects, unique pianos and other bravura during the 13-minute show that ended with a microphone drop, a football catch, and a jump off from the stadium’s roof.
Close-up photos of the singer, known for her killer abs, revealed she gained a little flab, but the show was nonetheless a spectacle as the audience expected of her. Gaga's first Super Bowl performance has even been compared to that of her friend and idol, Madonna, who did the halftime show in 2012, the most watched halftime show in the league's history.
Here are some highlights of Lady Gaga's performance.
