Miss Universe bets reportedly gained weight

MANILA, Philippines - During last night’s red capet welcome for Miss Universe judges and hosts, a pageant insider told Philstar.com that many of the contestants reportedly gained weight, except Miss Philippines Maxine Medina, because she was the one allegedly offering the food.

As a result, many of the contestants reportedly blew up their hips to 40 inches, making designers scramble at the last minute to look for bigger gowns. Other contenders also allegedly have to change their evening wear for the coronation.

At the red carpet, many contestants affirmed that it is indeed ‘more fun in the Philippines’, especially, when it comes to food. Thus, some of them cannot wait to return or even do not want to leave.

As one of them professed: “I love the pandesal, the mangoes, the ensaymada! I’m supposed to be on a diet, but I can’t stop eating!”
